I've always loved the confidence of this song. Matt Maher says that his key theme for the song is that those at the time should not be afraid and the same message is for us in our very scary and uncertain world. The peace of the Prince of peace is for us today so we can rejoice and sing with the angels, "Glory" - God is in charge and He is completing his plan of salvation.
May we be blessed with hope today - even in the midst of the brokenness of our world.
This world is so difficult at times and we have often been hurt and let down or just struggle because of what has happened in our lives. Nairn Baptist Church - NBC - accept this is a reality for so many and so we have partnered with Renew Wellbeing and want to be open about all our needs for support and understanding. SEE BELOW FOR MORE INFORMATION AND OPENING TIMES
Life is hard and we are seeking to be real and honest as we encourage discussion about relationships. We find support in using the marriage course - which is for anyone interested in strengthening their relationship - but also just want to offer a listening ear if needed. The marriage course is not us listening in. It is time that you spend with your partner and it can be accessing online material. Contact us to check this out.
We believe the church is a community of people and that we need one another so we celebrate this by getting together often - online or in person. Get in touch with us and find out how you can share this sense of community
We believe Jesus was a real human being so he knows what it is to be like us. But we also believe he was fully God so his death has cosmic significance. We would love to walk with you through an ALPHA course. Contact us if you are interested.
Along with other churches, we support the local Foodbank and we seek to take an interest in all that is going on in the town and in our world as we address issues of climate change, pollution and injustice. We do this largely on an individual basis but connect regularly with TearFund in their Action work.

We meet every Sunday morning at 11am in the Nairn Community Centre for around an hour followed by refreshments. We would love to welcome you to our church this Sunday.
WELCOME – Jesus said, “Come to me all you who are weary and burdened”. We are a welcoming people so we just need to keep on being open to all who come to us and to those whom Jesus would have welcomed and cared for. Let’s look outward as well as inward. We are seeking to be a people of compassion, of connection to others and we aim to “peachy” – soft on the outside but solid in the centre.
WORSHIP – Let us be passionate about giving our all. So, worship is every day and what we do on a Sunday – but may our Sundays be inspiring! Let’s be excited about the praise we enjoy, let us pray in a variety of ways with fervour and let us labour in prayer – waiting, striving, seeking. Worship includes serving each other and this community by being where people are.
WORD – Jesus in himself is our final authority as THE WORD made flesh, but he speaks through the Bible as his inspired Word and so we are passionate about learning, about devotional reading of Scripture. We believe in discipleship and growing in faith. Jesus said that we must teach others about Him, and we know that we need something to guide us outside of ourselves in our darkest times. May we also grapple with hard questions and see how the Bible is relevant to our day.
WITNESS – we are called to live and speak of Jesus. All of our lives do communicate something, and we pray that this is about our living relationship with Jesus. We seek not to lose our greatest purpose in being followers and Great Commission disciples. But we do this in the strength of Jesus and the empowering of the Spirit. We let go of guilt and shame in our fears that we are not good at being witnesses and embrace the love and acceptance of Jesus which will then flow from us.
WELLBEING – We have embraced the truths of the wellbeing ethos of Jesus which is that He came to bring us His peace and to restore our souls as we trust that God cannot love us any more than He does. This is at the heart of Renew Wellbeing as a charity. A wellbeing ethos helps us to recognise that many are going through pain and we cannot take that away but we can be there with each other in such struggles. We know that Jesus went that way before us.
Our church is situated in Nairn, one of Scotland's most beautiful seaside towns.
Nairn is a small town with a big heart. With beautiful beaches and views over the Moray firth it is a place where the beauty of God's creation is easy to behold.
With a population always ready to offer a smile Nairn is a busy tourist town over the summer and Nairn Baptist Church regularly welcomes visitors.
